My opinion the hard-anodized Calphalon cookware is the best in my collection. I already have three of the 2 1/2 quart hard anodized and I use them for practically everything. Their cousins the hard anodized Chefs pan are indispensible. I have several of those as well. I do love cooking gourmet and Calphalon's hard anodized collection is a must have for any serious foodie.



This line of cookware is durable, long lasting (assuming you don't do anything stupid as I've done time and time again). Keep the heat medium or less for sauteeing not only for the foods sake but don't over heat your cookware. Long as you follow the manufacturer's instructions for care these babies will last a long time.

I have purchased three of these pans, gave one to my best friend and kept two for myself. I think I use at least one of them everyday, sometimes both are in use. It's just the perfect size for sauces, vegetables or just about anything. I use glass tops from other, older Calphalon pieces and it works perfectly. I usually only buy the pieces made in Toledo, Ohio, but even though this one is made in China, I'm still very happy with it after two years and do not hesitate to recommend this pan.

My saucepan cooks fine but it has all 8 of the weld marks where the handle is welded onto the pot showing on the inside of the pot. None of my other Revere pots have the welds showing and I'd rather this one didn't. You can rub your finger on the inside of the pot and feel 4 of the welds.

I have an identical pan that I have owned for 16 years with no complaints. It is still as good as when i bought it and it has had some heavy use.



THe new one is terrible - way less material - feels flimsy and it buckled the first time I used it. it now rocks around on a convex base.



Don't buy this if you are expecting the quality provided by Revere in the past.

We purchased this cookware after reading the above review stating that it works on induction cooktops AND after it came up under a search for "induction cookware". Well, after waiting way too long for this to arrive (it took acehardware outlet over a week to ship it out) we found that it does not, in fact, work on induction. The box itself states that it is "suitable for all heat sources except induction." They are hard anodized aluminum.



Overall, the cookware seemed nice enough - nice comfy grips, not-too-heavy, and glass lids. They just aren't what we were hoping for.

This set was featured at Costco about 10 years ago. Since I do most of the cooking in our house, I splurged on what was a quite costly set for us and have been more than happy with it.



Plusses:

- With this featured set plus a Wearever 3 liter deep skillet, and a Wearever wok (all came with the Costco set), I always have the right size cookware for any stove top job.



- Heavy metal bottoms distributes heat better than any cookware I've ever owned, including top of the line RevereWare.



- The Teflon coating is extremely tough, long lasting, and very non-stick. Unlike another reviewer here, I've not babied the Teflon coating in any way, including stirring with metal utensils. Yet only the two saucepans are ready for replacement after about a decade of heavy use,



- The handles stay cool.



- All the pieces are extremely well balanced. They "feel right".



- Pan lids fit the skillets.



- The lids can be hung from hooks with their "U" shaped handles .



Minuses:

- It's hard to find the two replacement pieces, a 2 liter and a 4 liter saucepan. I really don't want any other brand because I know these are great. If I have to buy a whole new complete set so be it.



- I couldn't live without the wok for stir-fry and deep skillet for simmering pasta sauce or making chicken cacciatore. To me, this set isn't quite complete without them. Kohl offers a bigger set under the T-Fal name.



If you buy this set, you'll be happily living with it for a very long time.

I bought this T-Fal Professional Cookware set locally at a smokin' sale price several months ago and have been very favorably impressed with it - it provides a decently even temperature across the bottom of the skillet/pot and washes (by hand, of course!) very easily. What many do not know is that T-Fal introduced non-stick cooking to America back in the late 60's (or was it 1970?). Yes, I'm that old and I still remember the excitement of my first non-stick skillet! I've owned various brands of low to mid-range priced cookware over the years and I keep coming back to cookware made by T-Fal or Wearever. Now, I've learned they have merged -so I'll be interested to see how that works out. In the meantime, our family just took a LEAP INTO THE FUTURE of cooking by buying a Max Burton Induction Cooktop (by Athena). Thought this was better than spending $2,000+ for a new 4/5 burner induction cooktop to replace our dying 70's ceramic cooktop. This gives us a chance to see if we like induction cooking while also watching the prices drop. I will review the Max Burton on Amazon after I've used it for a couple of weeks as it's sold here also. BUT, IMAGINE MY DELIGHT to find that this particular set of T-Fal cookware works on INDUCTION COOKTOPS! Oh, happy day! (FYI - the jumbo fryer sold separately, unfortunately, does not.) I recommend this set to anyone who is realistic about their expectations of cookware in this price range and to those who are willing to give their cookware TLC - no metal utensils or scrubbers - no soaking - bubblewrap between the pieces when storing. Yes, I'm a bit of a fuss-budget but, as a result, I don't have to replace my cooking gear that often which leaves a little money now and then to splurge on newer, innovative gadgets I see here on Amazon all the time! Good luck with your decision making!

The little woman says she loves these pans. The coating does not peel off. I was getting tired of buying and throwing away pans because their non stick surface was in my dinner. This set has a heavy bottom that cooks food faster than the regular pans. These pans are non stick on the outside also and are very easy to clean. I would have paid much more for this quality but these were quite reasonable to me. The red dot in the middle is a nice added touch to a very good set of pans. The lids fit perfectly and have the little breather hole. I think they are a nice looking set also.

I love this set of pots and pans! They are the perfect weight and size and are very well made. The set is made from 18/10 stainless steel with sandwiched aluminum bottoms for fast, even heating. The heavy-gauge knobs and handles are permanently welded for durability. The set came exactly as described. The food does not stick to the inside of this cookware and the pots and pans clean very easily. I also love the see through lids so you can monitor the heat level while cooking. The handles and knobs do not overheat when cooking. The other brands come with non-stick frying pans. I was looking for a cookware set without non-stick pots or frying pans. I researched all the other brands - farberware, calphalon, cuisinart, etc and this is the best cookware set by far. This would be especially good for some-one just starting out as it has everything you need. I'm very happy with this set!

This is one flimsy set. No quality whatsoever. Very light-weight (some people would like that, I suppose) but with poor joints - I could have pulled off the handles if there were a point to it. I returned the set within a week. Given some of the other reviews I can only suppose that the manufacturer has changed their process and is now selling a cheapo version under the old brand name. The same happened to me with a set of supposedly good knives.

I searched everywhere for welded handles and yet didn't want to sacrifice quality. This little cookware set has it all (encapsulated aluminum bottoms, 18/10, glass lids)! And for the price, you can't beat it! We just came from a home show and this cookware had everything the expensive sets do! I've used it to cook with and it's great. (I didn't realize though, that you should treat your ss cookware gently and try to keep the scratches down, and then it cleans up almost as easy as teflon.)

I was looking for non-teflon pans and these pans are do the job. The handles get hot, but that is to be expected. They are dishwasher safe and eggs are a little hard to cook. Also, don't use a scrub pad, instead use a brush and the powder "Bartender's Best Friend" to clean. I would buy again.

I love this set! I purchased it in red and it is a very nice shade, not bright red. I use them on my burnerless stove and have no problems, but I don't cook on super-high heat, either. They are very easy to clean, and the manufacturer doesn't recommend using cooking spray because it is simply NOT needed. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pan sizes are much smaller than I expected, and three of them are similar in size. Otherwise, a great buy and a very well-made set of cookware!

I have had 2 sets of Farberware Cookware in my married life. Considering that is over 40 years and this is only my second set of pots, I think you'll agree that these pots stand the test of time. They cook evenly and although not teflon coated, they clean up very easily. If something does stick, just leaving hot soapy water sit for a bit will help having to scrub the pot with a scrubbing pad.

Overall this is a great set of pots and pans. As far as cooking goes, they do the job and look good doing it. However, be very careful not to burn them, because I've found if you do, even slightly, it will be virtually impossible to remove.

We love our new set. It has a stylish look, & the rubber grip handles are really nice. Tne pans clean up really easily & retain their shine by just using soap & water. The Farberware Millennium is a huge cost saving alternative to All Clad. We just put in an induction stove top & found that Farberware & All Clad were the 2 brands that worked the best with induction stoves. I looked at both sets at stores before ordering the Farberware thru Amazon. The only difference that I could tell is that the All Clad is heavier. I actually didn't like the heaviness of the All Clad pots & tried to imagine what it would be like to be lifting them off of the stove when they were full. The Farberware is lighter but still substantial - we saved a ton of money by going with the Farberware.

I've been cooking with my Farberware Millennium set for 9+ years and would not trade them for anything. Friends and family told me I was crazy for buying a stainless steel set without a anti-stick coating. I never had problems with sticking and my pots and pans still cook and look great. Now friends and family ask if those were the same set I bought 9 years ago? I just smile and ask how many sets they have had? I originally bought them because of their highly polished inside and out quality finish and fit. This set is the Harley-Davidson of cookware; quality and finish in a timeless appearance.
