These knifes are excellent value. They are razor sharp when received and stay that way with a few strokes of a sharpner, after or before each use. The ony thing is these knifes are not drop forged, they are stamped steel, but are of excellent quility. One last thing do not put these knifes in the dishwasher it will damage the handles and the blades. Hand wash them only. I would recommend these knifes to anyone on a budget as a very good product for a very reasonable price.

Previously I had been using pampered chef microwave cookware set to make quinoa in the microwave. When one of those melted, I decided to look for something that I felt more comfortable using in the microwave.



I found the Micromac cookware & purchased from Amazon.



The quinoa and brown rice I make in the large tote comes out soooo fluffy and yummy.



I've used it to make several soups and stews. They tasted liek I'd simmered them a long time over low heat on the stove instead of nuking them i nthe microwave to make quick meals for us.



I've used the big tote for pasta, too. You have to watch the resting tiem closely since the tote retains heat for a long time and pasta can quickly go from al dente to mushy.



I use one of the small totes to heat milk for our coffee every morning.



The small totes are quite versatile, I've made small batches of pasta sauce in them, "grilled" burgers in them, "baked" potatoes in them, thawed frozen veggies, etc.



I think this is my favorite set out of all the micromac products I purchased.

Had been searching for something I felt sure would hold up to cooking in the microwave--even boiling water if necessary--and this does the trick. Each time that I use this pan to heat up foods, I am constantly surprised at how much less time it takes for those foods to cook. Water boils very quickly. Lastly, the engraved measuring lines for liquids are extremely helpful. All in all, the best saucepan that I've owned.

This one quart saucepan by Ballarini proves that remarkably well constructed cookware can still be bought at reasonable prices. The saucepan/pot is made using aluminum and the enamel exterior proves that this is no ordinary piece of cookware! Naturally, this pot's primarily use is as a saucepan; but its depth lets me use it also as an all purpose pot. I live alone and make pasta for one now and then; and I find this pot to be the perfect size for boiling the water and then cooking the pasta.



The grooved tracks on the underside of the pot impress me greatly: they enable the heat to quickly become evenly distributed under the pot, just as Amazon notes. This saves energy as well--the contents of the pot (or saucepan) get hot faster. It's green!



The ergonomic phenolic handle is indeed easy to grip but although Amazon says you could try to wash this pot in the dishwasher, I personally would hand wash it only. You can use dishwashing liquid soap like Dawn to get it clean; and a Brillo pad doesn't seem to affect the interior of the pan at all when removing food residue. If you must, however, you can wash this in the dishwasher.



It comes with a five year warranty but I highly doubt you'll ever need it. Mine must be languishing in a closet somewhere around my home! It's very well constructed; you can tell just by the feel of it.



Overall, Ballarini makes an incredibly useful and versatile saucepan that also can be used as a plain old pot. Great! The price is right and the warranty impresses me. Get one of these today and use it in good health!

The seller was quick and purchase arrived in excellent shape. However, I was disappointed with the product, not the seller. I ordered this saucepan as a replacement for an old Revere Ware pot I had for a long time. The difference between the old one and the new one is obvious. The new Revere Ware is not as sturdy, or as heavy as the original pot. It feels like a thinner pot with less copper on the bottom. So, would I buy Revere Ware again? Probably not. That's a shame. It used to be such a good name in cookware.

Having only to deal with a single glass lid that fits more than one pot is a definite plus. The storage lid and serving cradle are nice bonuses, as far as I'm concerned.

The pan itself is okay, if not outstanding--primarily because the stainless steel is thinner than previously. However, the "copper clad" bottom, after only one use and washing, is now almost gone. That is poor quality for a name-brand utensil!

The Revere Traditions 1 1/2 quart saucepan is of extremely high quality. The pan is heavy and has measuring marks on the inside. The saucepan is smart-looking, shiny, and comes with a lid of same quality. This is just the right size for average food quantities. Great saucepan!
