It was okay but I was not satisfied and one of the dishes were broken. I thought the Baking Dishes were larger.
I would not recommend it for anyone baking and having guests. The dishes are too small.

I bought a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish a few years back when I needed to bring a dish to the in laws' for the holidays. I use it all of the time and when I saw this set, I thought it would be a perfect way to get rid of my plastic storage containers and have pretty serving pieces. The pieces are a nice variety; I loved the idea of the larger rectangle pieces along with the standard round. I didn't have a need for the ramekins, but you can never have too many 'dipping bowls.'
Unfortunately, the packaging of this product is laughable. I think I would have had a better chance getting a dozen eggs in the mail. I cannot imagine anyone receiving it without a chip or several cracked pieces as was the case in mine. Now, I normally would even consider the condition of the item upon receipt as part of a review, but since the damage was due to the manufacturer's poor packaging, and not that of Amazon, I have to take it into consideration.
The other negative - as other reviewers have stated, the lids don't seem to fit at all. I don't expect them to snap on, but they are down right loose and wobble all over the place. Don't expect to be able tip toe up on someone with a casserole in hand (not that I can think of why one would want to do that) as they would hear the clanking from the next room. Maybe it's time for Corningware to update their pieces and have some type of heat safe rubber type piece to keep the lids in place. And while they are at it, they should have someone come up with a better package design.
Final negative: while the idea of the plastic lid is wonderful and frankly, about time, these lids are just way too tight. Heaven forbid someone has arthritis in their hands...they would never be able to get these things on or off. Once you try and seal a side, the other side pops off. Again, it seems like the two pieces just aren't meant to fit together much as the glass lids with the casserole dishes. As much as I wanted to keep the set, I ended up returning it and have now been on the lookout for glass bowls with normal storage lids.

My wife and I were strolling through our local warehouse store several years ago picking up impulse items for the furnishing of our house and we noted a display of Corningware French White bake and serve cooking/dinner ware. We both thought it would be a good addition to our dinnerware collection and we added it to the growing number of items in our shopping cart. It wasn't particularly expensive. Well, it's been a good addition and we've gotten a lot of use out of it. We microwave things in it, bake in it and use it as serving bowls. It looks elegant with the white french color and it's easy to take care of. We've experienced no problems at all. We'd buy it again without hesitation, or give it as a gift.
Now that I'm reviewing household things for Amazon, I looked up a series of reviews regarding the various Corningware sets and individual items and I was amazed at the large number of negative reports. Most of these reports have to do with the fact that the brand has changed hands and the present Corningware is not up to the quality of the old Corningware. Well, that might be and I have no reason to doubt the reports. In fact, I would say that if this is important to you, then by all means, pay attention to the warnings. However, we've had no previous experience with Corningware and the present set of cookware/dinnerware seems perfectly acceptable to us. We've had excellent service out of it and anticipate no difficulties.

As others have stated, the 1 1/2 quart oval dish arrived broken. Amazon sent me a replacement set which arrived with the same dish broken. The irony being the set claims to be "Chip- and crack-resistant stoneware"... It probably used to be before it was made in China.
I have used one of the dishes that survived, it worked fine.
But while the packaging was insufficient and the quality was lacking, Amazon's customer servers was amazing. They are truly the most helpful customer support I have ever had the pleasure of calling.

I was VERY dissatisfied when I receive this product in the mail. It's a 12-piece set and 3 of the dishes were broken upon arrival. I'm sorry, but if you cannot package a breakable set well enough to ship, then DON'T offer it for sale as an online product.
Second Attempt:
Amazon was great in sending a replacement set, but I STILL received a broken piece. Same issue applies - if you cannot package it well enough to ship, then don't do it. This is SO frustrating, because it's wasting everyone's time and money. Just do the job right the first time!
