 "Covered Revere Saucepan" 2009-11-18
By Phyliss Keeler (San Diego CA USA)
Had a similar saucepan for 40 years and recently burned the thing so needed to replace it. So glad that Revere still makes the 2 quart and my new one is a wonderful replacement. The new one will probably last for 40 years so will pass it on to the grandchildren.

"Revere 2 Quart covered saucepan" 2009-11-03
By W. Sargent (Boston, MA USA)
The first one I had was given to my parents as a wedding gift (it was used daily as well as to warm my bottles) and was lost in a move when I was 37 (the pan was 42 and still in terrific shape). I've used other pans & pots and have never been totally happy. Considering the service the last pan gave me, I was looking forward to one that would outlast me (I'm 54 now). I remember what this excellent cookware was like and this pan falls short! It's made in Indonesia and the copper coating is thin, even but thin. The bottom is rough, in a large circular swirl where it looks like it was "evened off" or "made flat" as if an afterthought. While the thickness of the wall is pretty good, it isn't as thick as originally made, sort of like most if not all current denim. Also, the lid is a bit looser than previous since the taper of the lid lip has been increased to make it easier to cover, which also makes it easier for steam to escape rather than cook the food properly, the reason for the lid in the first place. While not big things separately, together, I'm not impressed. A name is supposed to mean something which is why you hunt for it and why, if you have one related to quality, you attempt to keep it that way. I guess I'm getting old and becoming another dinosaur that remembers the "Glory Days". Wish we still had some of the quality that made "Made in USA" mean something to the rest of the world, but that's business folks - and that's all!

"Not the same quality as years before" 2009-09-07
By J. Eckhart (Kansas)
I was so relieved to find my beloved Revere pans online....until I got them in the mail. I have owned Revere pans for 32 years and my youngest pans are 12 years old. I wanted to replace some of the oldest ones, but after seeing the poor quality of these new Revere pans, I am sending them back. When I compared them to the pans in my kitchen, the new ones were lighter weight, thinner handles, and flimsy connections from the handle to the pan. So disappointing. These are a bad buy.

"Revere 2 qt. covered saucepan" 2009-08-30
By E. Grace (Lake Harmony, PA)
Wanted to obtain more Revere Ware for a vacation rental property since we had a fair number of older Revere pots & skillets. Our ancient cookware has held up beautifully, and believe me, they get abused at a rental property. Purchased a new 2 qt. copper clad saucepan and immediately noticed it was approximately 1/3 the weight & thickness of our old wares. Sign of the times? We are quite disappointed with the quality compared to our older versions. Made In The U.S.A. doesn't seem to mean much anymore and I don't want to buy Chinese. I suppose I need to look for a new manufacturer.

 "solid product" 2009-06-30
By S. Wells
Ordered 2 of these pans to use with the 2 steamer inserts I picked up at an outlet mall. The steamers are available here but cost twice what I paid at the outlet mall. These pots match the steamers and are the best way to cook veggies, both fresh and frozen. I expect to use the pots exclusively with the steamer inserts so I don't expect to have to deal with overheating and warping issues of the pots. They are very solid but as other reviewers have mentioned, are thinner than revere has manufactured in the past when they were the best. I can see issues if left on and empty even if for a short time. All in all though I would recommend them especially to match the steamer inserts. Amazon and its sellers don't seem to get their products in the mail as quick as they used to years ago, perhaps to encourage the more expensive delivery options. These came in perfect condition in new boxes but took two weeks with regular shipping.
